Our University Granted a Shaanxi Provincial Outstanding Young Scientist Fund Project and Two Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Teams

Recently, the Department of Science and Technology of Shaanxi Province announced the funding results for the 2024 Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Plan Project (Shaan Sci-Tech [2024] No. 1). Professor Wang Peng from the School of Electronic Information Engineering at our university has been awarded the Shaanxi Provincial Outstanding Young Scientist Fund project. Additionally, the "Innovation Team for High-Entropy and Amorphous Metal Materials" proposed by the School of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering and the "Innovative Team for R&D of Intelligent Measurement and Control Systems for Key Components of Weaponry Equipment" proposed by the School of Electronic Information Engineering have received funding under the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Team Plan.

The Shaanxi Provincial Outstanding Young Scientist Fund Project aims to cultivate young scholars in our province who are engaged in basic research and applied basic research and have made outstanding achievements in theory or technology. It supports them in independently selecting research directions for innovative research, promoting funded individuals to quickly grow into leading talents in their disciplines, and enabling them to enter national high-level talent programs.

The Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Team is centered around leading scientific and technological talents or high-level technical experts, based on team collaboration, relying on high-level innovation platforms, and targeting major scientific and technological issues in Shaanxi's economic and social development. It aims to deeply implement the strategy of innovation-driven development, deploy innovation chains around the industrial chains and vice versa, address shortcomings, leverage strengths, lead high-quality economic and social development, and support the groups to carry out innovative research and relevant activities.
