Recently, Professor Fu Yanfang's team from School of Computer Science and Engineering has achieved the automated generation of military simulation scenarios through artificial intelligence (AI). While traditional commanders spend 48 hours developing plans, AI can now generate 10,000 possible scenarios in just 48 seconds. This breakthrough transforms AI into a production system for various fighting environments, troop deployments, and event-driven operational strategies. This innovation represents not merely an efficiency boost, but a complete overhaul of conventional manual planning methods. Building on these research findings, the team has collaborated with industry partners to develop a next-generation intelligent simulation system based on AFSIM.
