On November 6th , the 9th World Women University Presidents Forum will inaugurate in Xi'an.
The forum is sponsored by the Organizing Committee of the 9th World Women University Presidents Forum, the Institute of Modern Women’s Leadership, Xi'an Technological University and Communication University of China, co-organized by China Education Television and Xi'an Silicon Alley of Science and Technology Innovation Co., Ltd., with the theme of “Global Empathy, Mutual Learning Among Civilizations，University Innovation”. At that time, about 180 people will attend the meeting online and offline.
The World Women University Presidents Forum，initiated by Communication University of China (formerly Beijing Broadcasting Institute) in August 2001， aims to gather the strength of women presidents of universities in the world and focuses on developing higher education, enhancing women's leadership, building exchanges and cooperation, and sharing wisdom. The main forum is held in China every two to three years. During the interval, sub-forums have been held all over the world.
The forum lasted for nearly 20 years and brought together more than 1300 female principals from more than 100 countries and regions. Since its establishment, the World Women University Presidents Forum has been supported by top national leaders. Former vice-chairmen of the National People's Congress Peng Peiyun, Gu Xiulian, Chen Zhili, and vice-chairman of National Committee of CPPCC Lin Wenyi attended the forum.
The World Women University Presidents Forum provides an opportunity for the world to understand China and China to understand the world. In particular, it provides a broad platform for learning from the experience of higher education and women's career development in various countries in the world. It is also an important window for friends from all countries in the world to understand the development process of China. This forum, which is held in Xi'an Technological University and faces the world, will strongly promote the development of higher education culture in Shaanxi province and highlight the elegant demeanour and confidence of XATU.
