On the afternoon of March 5th, Academician and Chair Professor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhang Di, visited for academic exchange and delivered a lecture titledConfigurational Composite of Metal Materials. Our president Yao yao attended the related activities.
President Yao yao extended a warm welcome to Zhang Di's visit on behalf of the university, introduced the basic situation of the university, and expressed gratitude to Zhang Di for his guidance on the construction of our university's high-level scientific research team. Zhang Di introduced the construction of the State Key Laboratory of Metal Matrix Composites at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, as well as the innovative research results in composite material design and preparation, deformation processing, structure-property relationships, and configurational control. Both parties hope to take this exchange as an opportunity to strengthen disciplinary construction, and carry out in-depth cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific and technological innovation, and other aspects.
After the meeting, Zhang Di visited the pilot base of Shaanxi Provincial Engineering Research Center for Magnesium-Aluminum Lightweight Metal Composites and the Institute of New Energy Science and Technology of our university, engaged in academic exchanges with some team leaders, and provided academic guidance. Leaders from the School of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering, the Institute of Science and Technology for New Energy , and the School of Weaponry Science and Technology attended the meeting.
Zhang Di serves as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, director of the State Key Laboratory of Metal Matrix Composites, Yangtze River Scholar of the Ministry of Education, chief scientist of the National 973 Program and Key R&D Program, and chairman of the Metal Matrix Composites Professional Committee of the China Composites Society.
