On March 21, Zhao Gang, Governor of Shaanxi Province, came to our university for research. Mayor of Xi’an, Ye Niuping; comrades in charge of relevant provincial departments; and Liu Weiguo, Secretary of the Party Committee of the university, attended the research.
At the Institute of Science and Technology for New Energy, Zhao Gang learned about the research and development of normal temperature and pressure solid state hydrogen storage technology and the transformation of results, exchanged ideas with researchers, and encouraged them to look at the international scene, focus on the frontier, accelerate the research and development of hydrogen storage materials, and strive to achieve more breakthrough results.
Institute of Science and Technology for New Energy of our University is based on the frontier of international disciplines, with the basic requirement of carrying out major original innovation work in the field of new energy, and with the application of chemistry, semiconductor physics, electrotechnology, magnetism, materials, metallurgy, mechanics, and related disciplines in the field of new energy as the basic orientation, to carry out basic theories and application of basic and industrial research, and ultimately to bridge the gap from basic theories to industrial applications, and to train a large number of excellent professional research talents.
