Reported from Shaanxi Daily. The joint research team, led by Dr. Li Haiwei and Dr. Wang Shuang from Xi’an OPM, and Professor Song Liyao from XATU Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, has achieved a breakthrough in intelligent spectral sensing for UAV remote sensing. The team successfully resolved the challenge of high-precision light field modeling at centimeter-level pixel resolution, injecting strong momentum into the expanded application of UAV remote sensing technology. The findings were published in ISPRS Journal ofPhotogrammetry and Remote Sensing, a top-tier journal in the remote sensing field (SCI I TOP, IF=10.6).
Song Liyao’s team undertook the research project of "the new paradigm of UAV nested flight BRDF acquisition and illumination correction".
This achievement advances the theoretical development of intelligent spectral sensing technology for UAV remote sensing, but also provides engineering-attainable solutions for practical applications including agricultural production, ecological monitoring, and resource surveys. The research has achieved centimeter-level pixel precision in light field modeling, charting a new course for the advancement and application of UAV remote sensing technology.
