On the afternoon of June 27 2017Dr. O'Toole, vice president of Watford Institute of Technology in Ireland, and the delegation visited our university. Vice president Zhao Hongxing held talks with the guests, after the previous the meeting at the Fourth International Forum on Integration of Industry and Education where both sides expressed a preliminary cooperation intention, so as to further implement the cooperation content.

After a brief introduction to the general situation of both universities, the universities of both sides have carried out the matching of disciplines and specialties, focusing on the construction projects of high-level application-oriented universities in China and the UK. The two sides preliminarily reached a cooperation agreement. Based on the construction project of China-UK high-level application-oriented universities, cooperation will mainly start in computer, electronic information engineering, economic management and other disciplines to build an international talent training plan in the above fields, as well as a complete set of implementation plans around this plan, including but not limited to training programs, international teacher training, students exchanges, in-depth cooperation in scientific research projects, etc.
