On March 20, Jeffery C Long, vice president of Eastern New Mexico University and his delegation visited our university. President Lei Yaping met with the guests. The talks were chaired by Xue Hong, head of the International Office of our university.
President Lei Yaping welcomed the guests, introduced the general situation of our university, and said that the internationalization strategy is one of the three strategies of our university’s new initiatives, and the Eastern New Mexico University is one of the most important partners of our university. She hoped that both sides would work together to cooperate in various fields and levels to boost the internationalization of the two universities. Mr. Long, vice president of the US side, said that universities of the two sides have a good foundation for cooperation for many years and look forward to deepening cooperation for mutual benefits.
Then, under the guide of the International Office, the Academic Affairs Office, the School of Electronic Information Engineering, the School of Computer Science and Engineering discussed the problems existing in the two universities 2 + 2 double degree undergraduate programs, as well as the upcoming 3 + 1 double degree undergraduate programs, teachers' visits, and so on with the guests. The two sides said they would continue to contact and implement new forms of cooperation.
