School of Arts & Media (SAM) was established in 2002. After more than ten years of construction and development, it gradually formed its own disciplinary advantages and school-running characteristics. It has become an important window of external publicity for Xi’an Technological University.
At present, there are four undergraduate majors as visual communication design, environmental design, product design and animation together with a MA degree program of Art Design. There are 1,526 students (1458 undergraduates and 68 graduate students) and 71 full-time teachers, including 2 professors, 16 associate professors and 3 doctors currently in SAM.
In 2002, it was awarded the Quality Education Achievement Award by the Department of Social Cultural Affairs of the Ministry of Culture. In 2008, our school became the base of animation education of Shaanxi Province.
